An essential task of the Supervision Consortium is to promote the familiarity of PDO Pecorino Romano Cheese, giving consumers world-wide the right information regarding this product that has remained unchanged through time, maintaining its ties with the territory where it stated, ensuring its authenticity. That is why the Consortium, since its birth in 1979, has carried out numerous promotional and informative campaigns in Italy, Europe and in the United States of America. An example of these is “Promo Quality Cheese”: from its beginning in New York in June 2007, with a workshop within the Summer Fancy Food exhibition, it will come to an end in 2009 with a series of promotions in some of the leading distribution chains in the United States.
