From 10th to 14th March in Barcelona in the AFIDOP stand with other Italian PDO cheeses, Pecorino Romano had a leading role in the “Alimentaria 2008” exhibition, held in the Catalonian capital every two years. With a new company stand, the Supervision Consortium introduced Pecorino Romano to the public in one of the leading Italian exhibitions dedicated to food: the Cibus fair, held at Parma from 5th to 8th May, 2008. again in this edition the Consortium stand represented an essential meeting point among manufacturers of Pecorino Romano and countless buyers from Italy and abroad. From 29th June to 1st July Pecorino Romano had a leading role in the 54th edition of the Summer Fancy Food Show in New York. Within the Italian group, organised by IC, the Supervision Consortium for Pecorino Romano offered the public a taste of their cheese. The appreciation expressed by the numerous visitors confirmed the interest of American consumers in our product. Following the success met in the past edition, for the second consecutive year the Pecorino Romano Consortium took part in the Riga Food exhibition from 3rd to 6th September. Visitors received a free sample of serving-size and grated Pecorino Romano in the new packaging. From 19th to 23rd October in Paris, Hall 5/b, stand H 70, the Consortium for the Supervision of Pecorino Romano Cheese will take part in SIAL 2008 as part of the AFIDOP group, along with other Italian DOP cheeses.
